Trouw Nutrition Opens Factory for the Pet Market

Trouw Nutrition has announced the opening of a new factory focused on the production of special blends and premixes for pets in the city of Arujá, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo and Alto Tietê.

The goal is to further boost the company's growth rate, which is already exceeding double digits annually in the pet segment alone, and to consolidate its presence in this strategic market.
 

The CEBPET complex (Center of Excellence in Special Pet Blends and Premixes) was designed in an exclusive area of ​​3,000m2 and will begin operations in December.
 

The project, designed to quintuple the company's current service capacity and with the possibility of further expanding production in the future, is part of the company's expansion plan and should double current production in its first year of operation.

This year, Trouw Nutrition completed two new distribution centers in Maringá, Paraná, and Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, in addition to acquiring state-of-the-art robots for a plant specializing in Bellman brand ruminant supplements in Mirassol, in the interior of São Paulo.
 

Augusto Adami, General Manager of Trouw Nutrition for Latin America, emphasizes the company's confidence in the Brazilian market and future investments in the country.

Brazil is the third largest producer of animal feed, behind only China and the United States. To give you an idea, a survey by Sindirações (Brazilian Association of Animal Feed Industries) indicated that the country produced 91.1 million tons of feed and mineral salt last year. Of these, 4 million tons were for dog and cat food alone.

Frederico Glaser, Head of Strategic Marketing at Trouw Nutrition in Latin America, states that the studies that gave rise to this project began in mid-2023 and culminated in the construction of the first PET Center of Excellence with these capabilities in Brazil.

The facility features specific and isolated zones for receiving and storing raw materials, preparation and micro-weighing rooms with rigorous control, a fully automated mixing tower, as well as areas for storing finished products and an integrated logistics yard, ensuring efficiency and fluidity throughout the production process.
