Against this backdrop, the 30th China International Pet Show (CIPS 2026), taking place November 12–15 in Guangzhou, China, will feature more than 30 concurrent conferences and events as part of its 30th anniversary edition. Two of the program's key highlights, the 2nd CIPS International Pet Industry Convention (CIPIC) and the 3rd Aquatic Industry Convention, will bring together international industry leaders to examine market developments, share practical insights and discuss the challenges facing their respective sectors.
CIPIC 2026: A Global Perspective on the Pet Industry
Held on November 11, ahead of the exhibition, the 2nd CIPS International Pet Industry Convention (CIPIC) will focus on the theme 'Toward Shared Growth.' Bringing together senior executives, industry association representatives and market specialists, the convention will examine the changing global pet industry from the perspectives of manufacturers, brands, retailers and international trade organizations.

The agenda addresses some of the industry's most pressing questions: how the global pet economy is evolving, where new market opportunities are emerging, and how businesses can respond to shifting supply chains and retail landscapes. Discussions will range from China's position in the changing global market to the future of European pet retail, sustainable growth and the implications of European regulatory developments for international businesses. A dedicated panel on Chinese innovation will also explore how new products, technologies and business models are influencing the industry's next stage of development.
The speaker lineup reflects the international scope of these discussions, with representatives from Euromonitor International, Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo, Laroy Group, the World Pet Association (WPA), the Pet Industry Federation (PIF), the European Pet Organization (EPO), and ZZF/WZF, among others. Combining market research, retail experience, industry representation and manufacturing expertise, the convention will bring different perspectives to the challenges and opportunities shaping the global pet business. The program will conclude with the CIPS Innovation & Sustainable Development Pioneer Awards Ceremony.
The 3rd Aquatic Industry Convention: From Market Insights to Industry Innovation
The aquarium sector will take center stage at the 3rd Aquatic Industry Convention, organized by CIPS in partnership with Ornamental Fish International (OFI) during November 12–15. Under the theme 'Transforming the Aquarium Industry: Data, Technology and Retail Innovation,' the convention will examine how global market developments, changing retail models and technological advances are reshaping the industry.

The program will address the international aquatic trade landscape, regulatory developments and opportunities in emerging markets, alongside the practical realities facing aquarium businesses. Retail transformation will be a central focus, with discussions examining how physical stores can adapt to changing customer expectations and how digital platforms, social media and artificial intelligence are creating new possibilities for business development. Other sessions will explore sustainable breeding, ornamental fish innovation and technologies that can improve efficiency across the industry's value chain.
Bringing together experts and professionals from different parts of the global aquarium industry, the convention will connect international market perspectives with practical experiences in breeding, manufacturing, distribution and retail. It will also feature the CIPS & OFI Aquarium Retail Excellence Award and the CIPS & OFI Commercial Livestock of the Year Award, recognizing achievements in aquarium retail and ornamental aquatic species.
As CIPS celebrates 30 years of connecting the international pet and aquarium industries, these two conferences will form an important part of a broader program combining industry discussion with business exchange. Together with the exhibition, they will give participants opportunities to understand market changes, exchange experience and connect with industry partners from around the world.
