FOSS appoints new CEO

We are pleased to announce that Christian Rosenkrantz de Lasson (37) will become CEO of FOSS A/S, with formal appointment at our Annual General Meeting in March. Christian succeeds Kim Vejlby Hansen (61), who will continue advancing our photonics strategy and step into the role of CEO of our holding company, N. Foss & Co. A/S.

To ensure the best possible transition, Kim will gradually reduce his operational role in FOSS from the turn of the year.

The CEO transition has long been signaled by Kim and comes at a time when FOSS is performing strongly, and Christian has been well prepared to take over responsibility for FOSS. We are also pleased to strengthen N. Foss & Co., which, alongside FOSS, includes Au2mate, Ibsen Photonics, Wasatch Photonics, SPIO Systems, and Graspian ApS,' says Peter Foss, Chair of the Board.

Kim has been part of FOSS for 24 years, including 17 years in Group Management and 10 years as CEO. Before becoming CEO, he served as COO, Executive Vice President for Business & Product Development, and Vice President, R&D.

Christian joined FOSS in 2015 and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Business Innovation, having previously led our EMEA service business. He holds an MSc in International Management and an EMBA.
