Maverick extruders ensure greater production potential with the same available energy. This larger production capacity is the result of the power drive system and the unique helical design of the extruder barrel bolts. The combination of helical height, screw pitch profile and effective helical angle optimizes the conversion of mechanical energy into heat through friction, while reducing shear damage.

Barrel components - screws, sleeves, and shear rings - are manufactured from special metal alloys in Wenger intellectual property stainless steel. The result is increased wear resistance, increased barrel life, and a significant reduction in extruder maintenance and operational cost.

SHOCK ABSORBER HOPPER AND FEED SCREW MODEL 64

Hopper mounted with 64 cubic feet built and developed all in stainless steel mounted with feeder screw provides high performance and easy cleaning and maintenance. Ensures a uniform and constant flow of any granular or floury or mixed material to the extruder.

CONICAL CONDITIONER HSC (High Shear Conditioner)

It allows controlled hydration and pre-heating of the dry recipes through the addition of steam (or water or meat suspensions) before entering the extruder barrel.

In addition to improved palatability and product quality, there is a significant reduction in operational costs, resulting from reduced wear on extruder barrel components and a lower power requirement per ton produced.

ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS

Matrix Set and Cutting System

It allows a quick and precise change or adjustment of the cutting system and the die, minimizing the setup time between different products in terms of mold and size. The cutting system is mounted on the die so that blade wear is distributed over its entire area.

Automated Control System (APC)

Controls system startup, operation, and shutdown. Regulates the production of the extruder, the temperatures of the process and the addition of liquids, in addition to comprehensively monitoring all the post-extrusion operations required to optimize the manufacture of the product.

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

Regulating Device for Specific Mechanical Energy (BPV)

Mounted at the end of the extruder, before the die, it allows online adjustments of the shear stress and of the specific mechanical energy, objectifying the control of the characteristics of the extruded product that include: Size, and uniformity of the cellular structure, definition of the mold , gelatinization of starches, bulk density and liquid absorption.

Plumbing Rack

As a complement to the extruder, the Plumbing Rack exercises the output and pressure regulation control with the aim of improving the extrusion process. The flow of water and steam is supplied through this equipment.
